» WLDCore.dll is Windows Live Client Shared Platform Module.

DLL is short for Dynamic Link Library, containing executable functions or data that can be used by Windows applications. DLL provides one or more particular functions, program accesses the functions by creating either a static or dynamic link to the DLL. A static link remains constant during program execution while a dynamic link is created by the program as needed. DLLs can also contain just data. Most of the DLL files have .dll, or .exe extensions.

The best thing about DLL files is that they can be used across multiple applications at the same time. Windows operating systems come with a few pre-installed DLLs that can be used by any application installed on it. Most of the other DLLs are usually developed to be used by a specific application and are loaded only when you launch that application.

What are the common causes of Windows DLL errors (otherwise called DLL Hell)? Firstly, Windows DLL errors occur when a newly installed application replaces a DLL with an older version. Next, Windows DLL errors also occur if a shared DLL is deleted when you uninstall an application. Thirdly is infestation by malicious software/viruses, such as Trojan:Win32/Comisproc. Last but not least are the corrupted or outdated registry entries.

To fix all these dll errors, DLL Suite is designed for you and has been acclaimed by its users across the world ever since it was launched.

Download DLL Suite, install and run > Click Download DLL - Free menu > click Start Scan & Download DLL - Free button, choose your needed DLL > click More Information > click Download button from the open web page.

And Click Dashboard menu and > Click Scan DLL Errors button > Click Fix DLL Errors button after the scan. And all the problems are fixed.

  2. JOSE ROSA replied on January 6, 2013: » I had same issue. Here is how to fix it. It seems the new Windows Live has grouped the wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll to a folder c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared Maybe because I did upgrade install it screwed up things.

    The solution was simply copy paste those 2 files wldcore.dll and wldlog.dll from c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Shared to c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger; c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts; c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail;

    c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger; c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Contacts; c:\Program Files\Windows Live\Mail;

    Now I can login to Windows Live Messenger and enjoy the whole Windows Live Essentials.

It is the reinstall that created the problem..After the reinstall I got the error message that WLDCore.dll was missing and Windows Live Mail cannot function without it. I have reinstalled Windows Essentials several times to try to install WLDCore.dll with no success...I still get the same error message. I cannot uninstall and reinstall because Window Essentials is NOT there to uninstall. I have tried to install WLDCore.dll from the internet with NO success.This is not a 'Live Messenger' issue...I am trying to get my email service back with Windows Essentials... Any help you can give me will be appreciated...

Is it possible that the Windows essentials file is corrupt? I ask because the problem persists on Multiple systems and after multiple reinstallations on each of 3 systems.

  5. CHASE ROMERO replied on January 9, 2013: » Win7 has program files and program files x86 folder. Look in program files x86 and do copypaste form winlive/shared to windows [program wich demands the dll files] Later run the aplicattion and have fun.
