Cannot Find WAB.DLL Error In Outlook
» I installed MS Office 2000 Pro on a Windows 7 Home OS and in Outlook I received cannot find WAB DLL when opening address book and/or trying to send e-mail. MS recognized the issues with some OS but does not address this issue with windows 7?
If you are using Microsoft Outlook after installing Windows 7 or Vista, you may get an error: WAB.DLL is missing or corrupt or An error occurred while attempting to open the WAB. Unable to find the WAB.DLL.
This usually happens when opening Outlook, or trying to use the Address Book. To solve this problem, try the following steps:
1. Navigate to Computer then C:\Program Files\Common Files\System.
2. Hold down the CTRL button while clicking on the files wab32.dll and wab32res.dll.
3. Hold down CTRL and press C to Copy the files to the clipboard.
4. Close the window and navigate to Computer then C:\Windows\System32
5. Hold down CTRL and press V to Paste the files into the folder.
Try Outlook now and see if you have better luck.
